Boris

Boris is a black male Standard Poodle who will likely grow to 45-50 lbs. We are expecting him to thrive as a psychiatric service dog with a laid-back lifestyle. Boris was born August 20th, 2024.

Boris is a true gentleman- low-key, sweet, and very in-tune with his handler and their needs. He loves to be with his human as often as possible and is exceptionally tolerant of all kinds of handling, cuddles, and grooming. He is confident in public spaces, but not high-energy or hard to control. He is a little lover boy and lives for attention from his person. He sits and stares at his trainer whenever they stop during training outings, and caught onto leash walking like a natural! Boris has a natural stress/anxiety response and gravitates to the lap of anyone in the household feeling upset or down.

He will be placed as a Started Service Dog with obedience, public access, CGC certification, and foundational task skills, and will require 4-6 months of additional task training & continued public access training to be considered a full service dog.

Boris is a well-bred dog and we have collaborated with his breeder, OMG Poodles, on this project. He comes from health tested, well-tempered, and titled parents and was temperament tested at 7 weeks of age to determine his suitability for service dog work. His total placement price is $11,000, including $8,000 for the 6 months of training he has done, $1,000 to cover administrative & travel costs for his delivery, and a $2,000 fee which goes directly to his breeder.
